At times writers and journalists get overtly stuffy and pretentious about music, getting caught up in trying to let the world know what’s cool by their standards.
Music news coverage can also often become about what musicians, singers had for lunch, rather than what they’re doing artistically.
The Music Stop (TMS) was created in 2012 (after years of mulling in my mind) in order to celebrate music by way of the written word.
It exists to discuss all topics surrounding music of all creeds and kinds.
The articles aim to pick at the actual music artists are making and performing around the world, through analysis and interviews with its composers, artists, writers, producers and performers.
I hope to have provided a new platform that exposes talent that might not necessarily get noticed by mainstream media.
